Day 1 — Srinagar → Sonamarg → Kargil
Early morning departure from Srinagar. Drive through Sonamarg (photo stop), cross Zojila Pass (3,528m) — the gateway to Ladakh. Stop at Drass — second coldest inhabited place on earth. Reach Kargil by evening. Visit Kargil War Memorial. Overnight Kargil.
Day 2 — Kargil → Lamayuru → Leh
Morning: Visit Lamayuru Monastery — one of the oldest and largest monasteries in Ladakh. Drive through Moonland (surreal barren landscape). Magnetic Hill (where vehicles appear to roll uphill). Day 5 — Leh → Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Day 6 — Nubra → Pangong Lake
Drive from Nubra to Pangong Lake via Shyok Valley (newer, scenic route). First sight of Pangong — electric blue water surrounded by barren mountains. The lake changes colour 5–6 times a day. Sunset at Pangong is breathtaking. Overnight in tented camp at Pangong Lake shore.
Day 7 — Pangong → Leh via Chang La
